Senior Social Media Coordinator

Laura Rodriguez is a Senior Social Media Coordinator at the Recording Academy / GRAMMYs and has been with the organization since 2013. As part of the early social media team, Rodriguez was integral in the development of the voice and strategy. 

For the last 5 years, Rodriguez has crafted social media campaigns and sculpted the social media presence of how the GRAMMY Awards connect with music fans on Music’s Biggest Night and year-around. This year’s social conversation of the 61st GRAMMY Awards was the largest social television event of the year; beating the 2019 Oscars and the last two (2) Super Bowls.

She leads the charge on developing strategy and campaigns that create brand affinity and awareness among the Recording Academy’s core audiences. Working with various departments in the organization, she streamlines brand strategy, sets company objectives, and defines the brand’s core messaging across platforms through analytics. 

She holds a B.A in Communications from California State University Fullerton, where she’s also guest-lectured on social media, and devotes her time mentoring young women through #BUILTBYGIRLS—an organization that prepares young women everywhere to claim their place in the careers, industries, and roles they want, starting with the tech industry.
