Since his move to Nashville in 2009, songwriter and producer David Garcia has had a tremendous impact in virtually every genre of music. Starting with roots in Christian music, Garcia quickly transitioned into writing and producing for hip hop, pop and country. To date, he has won four Grammy awards, nine Dove awards, and was ASCAP’s 2015 Christian Music Songwriter of the Year.
Garcia's recent accolades include his first country radio #1 with "More Girls Like You," which he co-wrote, co-produced and mixed for Kip Moore's Slow Hearts album. He also produced and co-wrote three songs on NF's album Perception, which made its debut at #1 on the Billboard Top 40 albums chart upon release, and he produced Carrie Underwood's upcoming sixth studio album, due out in September, as well as its lead single, "Cry Pretty."
Garcia currently has one of the biggest charting songs in the country with the Bebe Rexha/Florida Georgia Line collaboration "Meant to Be." The song debuted at #1 and has spent 21 weeks atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, and achieved #1 status on the BillboardCountry Airplay chart. He co-wrote and produced the multi-genre hit single, which is also sitting in the top 5 across Top 40 and Hot AC formats.
