Coming up at L.A.'s iconic East West Studios, Jeff Ellis learned to engineer from the best in the business. But it was a chance booking that led him to go freelance, working full-time with Frank Ocean. The album “Channel Orange” was the result of their collaboration winning 2013 GRAMMY for Best Urban Contemporary Album with a nomination for Album of the Year.  From 2012 to 2016 the team went deep on the critically acclaimed “Blonde.”  A true artist, Ellis avoids production line music making by working hard to give every project a unique identity. Recent clients include Nick Jonas, Kate Nash, Akon, The Neighborhood, and Odd Future.
