Tom Lord

Red Light Management

Tom Lord served as VP of Marketing with Universal Music Group Nashville (UMGN), the country music division of Universal Music Group (UMG), where he worked for 14 years. While at UMGN, Lord directed the advertising, marketing, partnership and international efforts for the roster for such artists as Shania Twain, George Strait, Sugarland, Vince Gill, Lionel Richie, Josh Turner, O Brother Where Art Thou? Soundtrack and others. The roster then expanded in 2012 to include Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, Eric Church, Little Big Town and Dierks Bentley.  

Lord graduated from Belmont University’s Music Business program in 1998. Prior to UMG Nashville, Lord worked under Universal’s Rising Tide label in Creative Services from ’96-’98 while finishing his education and then worked as Warner Brothers/Reprise Nashville’s Video and Artist Development from ’98-’00 working with such artists as Faith Hill, Dwight Yoakam, Travis Tritt, Jeff Foxworthy and others.

Currently Tom works with the Red Light Nashville roster to guide the artist strategies in music, partnership, international and touring while also working to enhance the relationships with industry partners in media and marketing to deliver opportunities across the company.
Lord is a Leadership Music alumni and currently serves on the board for the TJ Martell Foundation and Leadership Music and is involved with other various charitable activities.
